IKEA Trip

Hope all you all had a great Bank Holiday!

Me and my friend Claire took advantage of the Bank Holiday, and took a trip to IKEA, Leeds. I wanted a mirror for the living room, but couldn't find one I liked, so came away with two plastic tubs for the recycling.

Highlight of the day: MEATBALLS! If you have never tasted Swedish meatballs before, you are missing out. So yummy!

We finished off the day with a good cup of tea and treats for the bunnies!

Here are a few photos:

I found a bunny!

I really like this!

Amazing Rescues

I was browsing YouTube yesterday, when I came across a video that tugged at my heartstrings so much it made tears stream down my face. It was about an stray Pit Bull (Nala) that had been found in a ditch in the city. She looked absolutely terrified, and so sad. A wonderful organisation called Hope For Paws spent a lot of time and effort comforting Nala and gaining her trust. They filmed the progress and spent hours with the dog. As soon as I saw her out of the bush, I just knew she was going to have the best care. The patience and compassion that the Hope For Paws team showed in this video was out of this world, and I want everyone to know what this wonderful organisation do for animals in need, because it's so much more than just rescuing them.

Please watch the following videos, and think about perhaps making a small donation to Hope For Paws, so that they can continue to help these marvellous animals.
Can you even imagine how much the vet bills would cost for this lot? A small donation would really help them.

Happy Furry Friday, love Yeti and Treacle xxx

Superstitions

The dove in the shower
The past few weeks I have been seeing a Dove on my shower door! (No I've not gone crazy, but I'm not normally superstitious either) see if you can make it out. Normally this wouldn't bother me in any way but I keep seeing the dove and its driving me nuts. I know me and Ben have been having a bit of a tough time recently, maybe if I looked into it deeper, the bird is supposed to symbolise comfort and peace, to let me know that things will get better, and to give us hope?

Yesterday, Ben's brother came round to show me his new tattoo... guess what it had on it! I found it very weird. I swear if I see another dove anywhere my mind it going to get carried away!

Ok, I've officially gone nuts!

Karl Pilkington

If you don't know who this is already, he is worth looking up. Featured on Sky1's series of "An Idiot Abroad", and "An Idiot Abroad 2", his way of thinking is unusual to say the least. I can't work out though if he genuinely is an idiot, or just extremely clever.

guardian.co.uk

The first series saw him feeding a lizard a hobnob, then quoting:

"It's weird how you can have something in common with something so different."
"It's like a million years old, but still likes a hobnob!"

More Quotes:

"Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful."
"Blood Pressure: Leave it. It's happening. Don't be measuring it."
"Why is everyone always going back to Latin? It was ages ago."
"Even caveman had little pants on when you see footage of them."

Legend.
